We had a cozy double room with a balcony overlooking the lake, and drinks were reasonably priced. It’s a nice, affordable place. Guests in the two double rooms can use the kitchen to cook, with a microwave and a small stovetop but no oven. If you need somewhere to stay in the area, give them a call.

The house is surrounded by a playground, meadows, fields, and forest paths to explore, and it was a wonderful place for us with our dog and baby. We had everything we needed. Our self-catering apartment was very clean, modern, bright, and welcoming, with a view over Möhnesee. The owners were friendly from the start.

We were welcomed so warmly, and had a wonderful stay. The private garden and its big terrace were lovely, too. Inside, the apartment was spacious, beautifully furnished with care, and had everything our family needed to relax.

The terrace is gorgeous, and the fireplace made the apartment feel so cozy. We were six staying in Waldruh, and there was everything we could need. It was spotless, with really comfortable beds, even the sofa bed. Katharina was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the apartment was furnished with so much love.

We slept so deeply in the absolute peace and quiet, and the breakfast with fresh bread rolls was a lovely way to round off our stay. Sonnenhügel guesthouse, in the Waldruh apartment, exceeded our expectations. From the warm welcome onward, we felt at home. The spacious rooms have a charming country style, with plenty of light through the big windows. In winter, the fireplace made for cozy evenings and the snow-covered garden looked magical. It’s just a stone’s throw from Lake Möhne, with walks, bike rides, and excursions nearby. The kitchen and bathroom were fully equipped. We’d love to come back to this relaxing place.
