I stayed nearly three weeks and was very happy there. It’s a cozy, family-run hotel in a wonderful spot, with a lovely view of the lake. The bus stop for Soest, a gas station, a doctor's office, and good restaurants are almost next door. Aldi is about a 10-minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and there’s free parking in front. Breakfast is average, but there are enough options. The bar’s spirits list is impressive, with at least a hundred choices, plus a selection of fine wines. I can't recommend it enough.

I visited over Easter, and on a sunny day the location is breathtaking. The service was good and quick. The food could use a little improvement, maybe by adding more herbs for better flavor.

The area is lovely in spring. Staff were friendly and informative, and the service was excellent. Dining was exceptional, with lots of regional specialties.
