Hotel Waldhalle

The hotel’s surroundings are lovely, and even without the great lake view, there’s plenty to admire. The location is amazing, the rooms are stylish and very clean, and the staff are both professional and friendly. The service was fantastic. Pretty much everything was perfect.

We’d come back. The service was really friendly, the restaurant was very good, the Wi-Fi worked well, and parking was free. The beds were comfortable, the area very quiet, and there was complimentary coffee, tea, and sparkling water in the room. The hotel sits in a forest near a lake. Our room was very clean and looked freshly renovated. A few details were disappointing, though: there was no towel hook in the bathroom, and the shower got warm but never hot. The furniture looked very plain and cheap, which didn’t match the more romantic style we expected from the outside of the house.

The dinner terrace had a lovely view over the lake, and the restaurant food was fresh and good quality, with fair prices. The beds were comfortable, with no backache, and breakfast had more than enough choice. Our room was very clean, even in the hard-to-reach spots. We only stayed one night on our way to Scandinavia, but the friendly staff were helpful throughout. Waldhalle is worth a detour. Keep up the good work!

We loved starting the day with coffee on our little balcony, looking out at the Schmalsee. The room was spacious and had coffee-making facilities, and the bed was comfy. The staff were so kind and helpful. The setting was even better than I’d imagined, with a restaurant right by the lake. Don’t miss dinner or breakfast on the terrace, or a walk along the lake. A superb experience, and we’ve had quite a few, bless God.
