The rooms are basic, but fine for a short break. There’s no air conditioning, so bring a fan or buy one. The modern bar has plenty of drinks and a lovely outdoor seating area. Breakfast is good for the area, with continental options, eggs, bacon and even waffles, and you can eat as much as you like.

I booked through booking.com for 04.01.2021, but when I arrived the hotel was closed and nobody was there. I later saw that they had taken €98 from my card, supposedly just to confirm my identity on the website. This feels like a scam, and I reported it. I hope I get my money back. Don’t book this hotel through websites or apps, and never give them your card details.

It’s close to the highway, but the place was badly kept, with dust and cobwebs everywhere, cold floors and hair stuck to the bathtub. The reception didn’t feel secure, with bottles of alcohol all over. This was the dirtiest room I’ve slept in in Europe. A two-night rest away from home turned into an argument between my husband and me. He called it a ghetto. You’ll definitely need earplugs because of the disco noise.

The food is okay, and the service is customer-friendly. They’re known in Germany for their “über dreizig” parties and regular Salsaparties, which are very “gemütlich.” They also have an unusual payment system: a personal “creditcard” made of paper, punched with holes.
