The game dishes caught our attention, and the kitchen really delivered on quality with traditional German food. Even though we asked for a small snack shortly before closing, they accommodated us, and the chef, a third-generation member of the owner family, came over to check if we were happy. The serving was more than enough. This is a busy family hotel where weddings, birthdays, reunions and anniversaries are held. It has a long history and a traditional look, though it doesn't feel dated. Our room was bright, clean and had everything we needed. Three generations of the owner family were there during our stay, and the staff were consistently friendly and service-minded. We were happy with every part of our stay.

There's a supermarket right next to this pleasant rural hotel. Dinner came in generous portions, the food was excellent, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. Service was great too. The one drawback was the lack of air conditioning. The room could get quite hot.

The restaurant serves the kind of straightforward German food I like, tasty and simply prepared, with good-sized portions. Breakfast was very good, though those large round tables felt a little odd when dining alone. Our room had plenty of space and everything we needed. There was lots of free parking, and the garden terrace was a nice spot for a drink or dinner.

The bedrooms were clean and pleasant, and breakfast had a good range of things to choose from. We had a very good experience overall. It's a warm, welcoming place, and dinner is good if you choose to eat there.
