Palais Wunderlich

We used this unique, tastefully renovated hotel/B&B as our base for visiting towns and Christmas markets in the Black Forest. Europa-Park and Rulantica were also just a short drive away. The gracious hosts were very accommodating, and my wife and I could easily imagine the property as a venue for weddings or big reunions. My family and I had an amazing stay, and we hope to come back.

We loved the apartment and our hosts, Familie Hugenberg, who did so much to make our stay wonderful. These design-focused apartments are beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated, right in town, and the property itself is lovely. The rooms have quality linen, bedding, and towels, and the kitchen is equipped with everything we could think of. The big garden is a great place to relax, with a trampoline and bunnies the kids loved. The honesty bar has a thoughtful selection of drinks, including local wines. We can't wait to come back!

The old building has been nicely renovated, and the apartments are modern with tasteful decor. It was incredibly clean, with not a dirty spot that we could find. The owners were very helpful. Outside, there's a big garden with tables, sunbeds, a trampoline, a grill, and rabbits. If you're going to Europa-park, I highly recommend this place. A great stay!

This was a highlight of our Germany/Austria/Switzerland trip. We found it quiet after full days of hiking and sightseeing, and the location worked well for exploring lots of places. Over four days we visited Colmar in Alsace Lorraine, the Chateau at Hait Koeningsbourg, the zip lines at Hirschund, which I highly recommend, and the Feldberg Steig trail, very manageable even for younger kids. There are many towns to choose from in the area, but this one is a great base for the Black Forest and Alsace Lorraine. Our family of four, including teens aged 13 and 15, had a wonderful stay in this hidden gem. The apartment was spacious, simply and tastefully decorated, and had all the basics. The owners were friendly and helpful. My daughter loved the bunnies and the cute upstairs loft where she slept. There was outdoor seating with tables and chairs, plus a basement kitchen for meals outside. We also appreciated the shared washer and dryer. Don't hesitate to book.
