This is our third stay here, and we're already looking forward to dinner at the restaurant tomorrow night. The hotel is immaculate, the beds are very comfortable, and the accommodations are just right. Breakfast has a special feel: you're waited on, and can order things like eggs made just how you like them and fresh orange juice. There's a lovely atmosphere and the staff are happy and caring. We lived in Germany decades ago and used to eat here every week.

We didn't stay overnight because there was no air conditioning, and for us that's a must when it's 30 degrees. That's the only downside. We did have dinner at one of the restaurants, though, and the food was good. The people were very, very nice, and the atmosphere was great.

Breakfast was great, the rooms seemed updated, and the staff were friendly. I had a bad night because the beds weren't to my taste, although there were plenty of nice pillows. Room no 105's balcony needs maintenance. I'm of normal weight, but my husband is heavier, and the small wooden floorboards bent almost to breaking point beneath us. We were very careful walking on it.

The dining room has a lovely romantic feel, and the views over the valley are fabulous. Our room was spotless, the staff were kind and friendly, and the service was brilliant. A fantastic hotel I'd definitely recommend.

We felt wonderfully comfortable and got a great welcome. The hotel was truly dog friendly, with excellent walks along the river and into the forest just behind it. I highly recommend it.
