The food was fresh and honestly the only thing in town I really enjoyed eating. Chef Matteo and his staff made me feel completely welcome, like I was at home. The rooms were spotless, cleverly designed, and had everything I needed. I was blown away by how attentive and hospitable the whole team was. Such a great experience!

I went in to ask about a double room for October, since I live in Lahr and wanted to check availability and rates in person. The owner told me, very rudely, that I could only book through booking.com because they lose money when they handle bookings themselves. She spoke loudly, kept making excuses about why she couldn't help, and went on about booking.com, even though I was just asking a question politely. I left. A walk-in customer should be treated with basic respect. I was shocked by how unprofessional the hotel owner was. When I pass the restaurant, it's often nearly empty, with only one or two tables occupied, and this kind of treatment makes that unsurprising. I can't recommend the place.

It's a small hotel, which makes it feel like a pretty unique place. The rooms are cool-looking and a good size, in my opinion. The owners were really nice, and the restaurant was great. I had a great time here.
