We just needed somewhere to sleep, with no breakfast or anything else, so this worked perfectly. Arrive, get some sleep, then head out the next morning. The location is good for Monheim, but not if you’re planning on staying in Dusseldorf.

A nice room and a good bed.

Cheap place, poor quality, and no atmosphere.

The location is fairly central, with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Rooms aren’t modern, but they’re clean, and the breakfast is plentiful. The receptionist was friendly, and for the price, the value is perfectly fine. If all you need is a room to sleep in, I wholeheartedly recommend Haus Sonnenschein.

I was woken in my room at 7 a.m., and when I complained, I was told, “No red card, that's normal.” The hotel also passed sensitive data and photos from the room to its booking business partner and carried out what I saw as arbitrary “checks.” Privacy, friendliness and customer service were all disregarded. I’ve never experienced anything like it, and it was appalling and disturbing. I strongly advise everyone not to book here.
