Hotel am Bahnhof

Breakfast was decent, and the reception staff were very friendly. The bed was more comfortable than I expected, so it works for a night, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. The hotel feels dated throughout. The stairwell reeked of stale smoke, and there were water marks and mildew on the walls and window frames. Our room had a small fridge with two bottles of water, but it was dirty and didn't work.

Breakfast was prepared when ordered, with coffee or tea, eggs cooked to order, and fresh bakery rolls and bread. This is a small, simple family-run place, kept clean and run by very friendly people. Dogs are welcome too. It's right across from the train station at an intersection, though shutting the windows kept the traffic from being a problem. 👍

For an affordable one-star stay, this place is clean and has an easygoing charm. My single room had a comfortable 90 cm bed, and breakfast was good. The rooms are upstairs on the top floor, so they can heat up when the sun is out. The intersection brings rush-hour noise, but nights are quieter.

The manager was unfriendly, and the place was disgusting. There was mold throughout the room, including around the shower, on the windows and on the walls. Both the room and bathroom smelled musty. The breakfast buffet wasn't refrigerated, while the room heating was set to 3.5 degrees, supposedly keeping things nice and warm. The salmon enjoyed that warmth... One star is already too generous. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, not even our worst enemy.
