We were so comfortable there that we decided to extend our stay on the spot. The apartment is cozy and thoughtfully furnished, with nothing missing, and the location is superb. The landlords were great. My 12-year-old son especially loved meeting the alpacas. We’ve already booked for next year. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this alpaca outing. Despite the word “trek,” it’s more like a leisurely stroll, since the animals choose the pace, and del Bosque takes things very slowly 😃 The route is mostly level and easy to manage, passing through green areas and including one short bit along the road. We’d happily recommend it.

January 16, 2022: We were well prepared for the walk thanks to the detailed information we got about the alpacas. The small groups mean everyone gets to lead one, which made the whole experience feel more involved. It was wonderful from start to finish, and I highly recommend it!

Mr. Rietz clearly cares a lot about his animals. He introduced each alpaca and told us about its individual personality, and he was glad to answer all our questions. Spending time out with them was relaxing and lovely. Highly recommended!

The walk with the sweet alpacas was a real highlight of our short break. We stayed in the beautiful “Wald” apartment, which was furnished just right, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Monschau and the lovely Rur hiking trails are easy to reach. We’d recommend it!
