Hotel Schlemmer Victors Restaurant

Getting here was easy, and the location is beautiful. Staff were welcoming and helpful, check-in was available around the clock, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. Thank you.

The owners, a sister and brother, made us feel very welcome and were wonderful hosts. The hotel and restaurant have a lovely rustic feel, right in Montabaur’s historic center, and it was so quiet. The restaurant is creative, and if you’re lucky, there may be a murder mystery dinner. We had a great time here.

The staff were good, and I felt sorry for them working in what seemed like an unhealthy environment. The hotel didn’t look like the pictures: the entrance and hallway felt old and shabby, like an old student room. With some renovation, a proper cleaning routine, and an interior designer, it could become a good hotel. The room smelled strongly of dust and age, mostly because of the old carpet. We asked to change rooms, and the next one was a little better, with a clean, new bathroom, but the stale smell was still too much. We decided not to sleep there and left, though we still had to pay. We also tried the restaurant, but after five minutes, seeing what was being served and getting a feel for the atmosphere, we left that too 🙄. It was the first time I’d done that, but I’m glad we did.
