The restaurant seems to be the main business, with the inn added on. It’s a large dining room with a big terrace, generous portions, fair prices, and German food. There’s parking behind the building. The rooms are small and have just the basics. There were no tissues, shampoo or shower gel, or drinking glasses. It has the feel of a small family-run place rather than a fully equipped hotel. There are four floors and no lift or ramp. The staff were genuinely warm, helpful, and kind, though. It’s a decent option for a night’s stay or a meal with a group.

The hosts were welcoming, and the hotel has a small-town feel despite being not far from the capital. We spent five days there while attending a funeral. Our top-floor room had a four-poster Himmelbett and feather bedding, which made it very cozy. Breakfast was good quality, though after a few days the same cheese, cold cuts, rolls, butter, jam, orange juice, coffee, and optional boiled egg got a little repetitive compared with other German hotels I’ve stayed in. The other meals were French, rich, and not very vegetarian-friendly, but well prepared.

We stayed overnight for a family celebration in the neighboring town. The hotel was very nice, with everything we could have wanted. The rooms were clean and appealing, and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast had something for everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome and great service.

We’d happily come back, and are already looking forward to it, maybe when the restaurant is open next time. It’s a peaceful, lovely place, owner-run and clean, with very friendly, attentive, helpful service. If you arrive without sky-high expectations, it makes for a wonderfully relaxing weekend around Berlin.

The food tastes like something from Grandma’s kitchen, and it’s absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic German feel, with wooden beams, warm lights, and traditional decor. Staff are friendly and attentive, know their food and drinks, and make you feel welcome right away. We’ll definitely be back.
