Raffelsteiner Hof

The view from our balcony was breathtaking, with mountains stretching out in front of us. Outside, the clear streams, stone bridges, rugged mountain shapes, and old well made every walk feel like being in a painting. The nearby town was spotless and well kept. Each morning brought birdsong and the gentle calls of grazing cows. We had a wonderful three-day, two-night trip to Germany. Breakfast every morning was an authentic German-style buffet with fresh fruit and vegetables, good-quality proteins, and plenty of drinks to choose from. Getting between Solnhofen and Mörnsheim was harder than the seven-minute drive on the map suggested: the road went through the mountains, and there was no direct public transport. The kind hotel staff offered to drive us back and forth, which made things much easier. Fossil details throughout the hotel were a lovely surprise for my son, especially a fossil in the bathroom wall that he excitedly photographed. Anastasios, a very handsome young Greek man, was friendly and attentive and made us feel safe and cared for. He helped with everything we needed, suggested the best local food, showed us nearby shops, and remembered the dishes we liked. This is a paradise for nature lovers, people looking for peace and quiet, and hikers who enjoy exploring in depth.
