The hotel was clean and comfortable enough, though the pillows weren’t great. I’d call it an okay place, worth about three stars across the board. What made the two nights disturbing was music in the hallways: it started at 6 a.m. and was still going close to midnight when I went to bed. At first I thought it was coming from a neighbor, but it was actually the hotel. I couldn’t make out what it was, only that I could hear it constantly.

The staff were genuinely hospitable, and as a solo traveler I felt safe, even though the hotel is in an odd spot inside an old shopping mall. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and the breakfast was nice. I’d stay again.

The room we got had a 140 cm bed, not the extra large 181-210 cm bed advertised with the King Room. They apologized and said they didn’t have rooms with bigger beds and would correct the listing. I wasn’t happy, and three months later the extra large bed, listed as 181-210 cm, was still being advertised. I guess that promise was a lie.

I spent 20 days here on a business trip. Getting around by public transport was easy, and the hotel sits right above Mülheim’s shopping area. The breakfast was pretty good, the rooms were spacious, and room service kept the bathrooms very clean. There’s also a small gym and a sauna available on request. Marc at reception deserves a mention too, he’s a friendly, cheerful person who looks after the hotel.
