Hotel Toskana

I slept better here than at almost anywhere else on my trip. The room was big, clean, and comfortable, and the staff made me feel special. Breakfast was exceptional, and parking was both secure and free. I loved my stay.

This had just what I want from a hotel, at a decent price. Breakfast was free, and there was also a free coffee machine at reception. I’d forgotten my UK-EU plug adapter, but the receptionist quickly found me one. The staff were really helpful!

Getting here is easy from the highway, though the hotel sits in a commercial and industrial area. There’s a fairly small underground car park, and it’s free. The rooms don’t look like the website photos and badly need updating. The bathroom was especially old-fashioned, though it did the job. The beds were very hard, and the three mattresses were all different. One was okay, one made me feel every spring, and my daughter said hers was like lying on a plank. It turned out there was actually a plank under the mattress (see picture). Breakfast was good, with enough choices, though it wasn’t the best in town as some people say. Staff kept the food replenished and the area clean, regularly wiping handles and replacing the cutlery used for serving. Not the best place to stay, but the staff tried and breakfast was good.

We booked this hotel for a wedding so the bridal party could get ready there. The location itself was alright, but major construction was happening right outside and we hadn’t been told beforehand. It was upsetting, because filming the bride as she came out became impossible. The rooms were clean, but very cramped for a family of three. The bride’s room was so small that it was a struggle to fit the makeup artist, photographer, videographer, hairstylist, and everyone else in together. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average, nothing special. It’s budget friendly, so don’t expect much. I wouldn’t book again or recommend it unless you’re on a tight budget and just need somewhere to sleep without expecting anything fancy.
