Adina Apartment Hotel Wiesbaden

The room was more than comfortable, and the kitchenette, especially the washing machine, was a real bonus. Housekeeping wasn't daily, but that worked fine for us. We also had a great breakfast, served by very professional restaurant staff. The hotel's central location was fabulous, and the staff were courteous and helpful. One person said a restaurant was closed, though we later found it open. It was around Christmas, so I think he may have been new or simply not known. Yelp or Find a Table can help with local restaurant searches, and the food nearby is fantastic. We didn't have a car, so I can't say anything about parking. We'd stay here again if we return.

The pool was full of kids around 10 PM and noisy, so the wellness area felt more like a fun theme park. I also needed the garage, but reception said it was full and told me to search for parking around town. Then the next guest got garage access without any problem. At check-in I was asked for extra money, supposedly for a mini-bar deposit, even though there was no mini-bar. I've traveled around Europe mostly for business and stayed in many 4- and 5-star hotels, and had never been asked to pay like that before. The staff behavior also struck me as unprofessional. Thanks for the experience, but never again. I see I'm not the only one.

The location has been great for getting around: lots of restaurants and the walking strip are close by, and the bus stops just outside are about 30 seconds away and go straight to the train station. I've been here around three weeks and really love it. My studio feels like a hotel room, but the kitchenette suits me well. Larger apartments are offered, though they don't seem to be available as often. The front service staff are cheerful and helpful, communicate well in English, and make sure my needs are met. The cleaning staff keep the building in impeccable shape and take real care with the rooms, leaving them looking, feeling, and smelling great. I'd recommend it, especially to other American military who are PCSing here. Just make sure you get one of the larger rooms.

We used the local paid parking across the street, so I can't comment on the hotel's parking. The rooms were excellent and the staff lovely. We came for a weekend concert at the nearby Kurhaus and had such a great time that Wiesbaden is now on our list for future visits. The area seemed bustling and crime free to us. What an amazing place, with 4-star rating and 5-star facilities!
