Mövenpick Hotel Münster am Aasee

The location worked really well for us: it’s about a 20-minute walk to the Christmas markets and close to a lovely park for walks. What made the stay especially good, though, was the staff. Laura in the restaurant took our son’s nut allergy seriously and made sure his food was safe. The blonde woman dressed in black was thoughtful and attentive, and Caroline at reception was welcoming and helpful throughout. Their care and professionalism made us feel at ease and valued. We had a great stay and would gladly recommend the hotel.

The room was spacious, though it felt dated, and there’s free parking nearby. Charging an EV may be tricky: there are only three spots, and some drivers take up two. At check-in, our room still wasn’t ready. There was no coffee creamer either, so I called reception, but even 30 minutes later it hadn’t arrived. That’s a pretty basic thing to get right. 🙁

It’s a little way from the city center, but the walk by the lake is lovely. We also rented scooters, which made getting into town really quick. The hotel itself was peaceful and quiet, with very good quality.

The room and food were very good, and the location is handy, close to both the city center and the lake. The reception experience was a real letdown: both check-in and check-out felt unfriendly, even rude. At checkout I was told there was city tax to pay on top of what I’d already paid. My booking through the Accor All app said taxes and fees were included. I tried to explain, but Malina wouldn’t listen and spoke to me rudely from the office behind reception. It felt very disrespectful.
