The staff were so pleasant, and both meals we had at the restaurant were delicious. The breakfast buffet had everything we wanted. It’s a beautiful, peaceful area with lovely walking paths, and the buildings are lovely too. I’d absolutely stay here again if I’m nearby.

It has a lovely village feel, and the staff are really friendly and speak English. There’s a lot of history here, going back to the 13th century. A great place to stay overnight. I’d come back.

8/10
The annex room was well appointed, with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Even with a wedding on Saturday and a concert on Sunday, we weren’t disturbed. The young woman who checked us in was very polite, and so were the other staff, apart from one. We enjoyed walking around the town and local area. There were two problems during an otherwise delightful stay. On Sunday, when we asked about extending our stay, an older staff member acted as if she was very important and we weren’t. Her attitude nearly cost them an extra night’s booking, and she could learn some manners from the younger staff. Also, our room was cleaned between nights without anyone asking us first, which made us feel our privacy had been invaded. The cleaning staff were polite and trustworthy, but guests should be asked beforehand.

The rooms were nice, and the place has lovely surroundings. The restaurant and breakfast were okay.

The rooms and the area were really nice, but the restaurant food and wine selection fell below all expectations. There were five of us, and everyone was very disappointed.
