The bed is tiny, the area is noisy, and without air conditioning the air gets really bad in summer. The staff are polite, but guests have to hand in their key when they leave. Sometimes nobody is at reception, so it’s unclear what to do with it. They advertise complimentary tea on several websites, but you only get it if you ask. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The price was good and the rooms were comfortable enough, though the place is dated and needs renovation. Finding it is tricky because of all the one-way streets. It was clean, at least. In both rooms I stayed in, turning on the shower made the shower head move, so I had to hold it with one hand while washing. Not really on, uh!?
I can’t understand how anyone gave this more than two stars. It’s one of the worst German hotels I’ve stayed in. At least they try to keep it clean, but the towels are worn out and the furniture looks about 25 years old. The lift is the oldest I’ve ever seen, and I could hear every damn noise from it even though my room was four rooms away. Never again!
Everything works properly and the place is neat and tidy, but it’s so old that it deserves a renovation. There’s even a telephone booth at reception for making calls! I’d recommend it for a budget stay of less than two days.
The staff make you feel welcome every time, and they’re wonderful ambassadors for Muelheim and the surrounding area. I’ve stayed at several hotels nearby over the years, but I keep coming back to Hotel Noy because of the warm service. It’s a good fit for business travelers and anyone wanting to experience the friendly charm of the city. The location at the stadtmitte is handy for local transit, and the Main train station (Hbf) is an easy walk away. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. You can also stroll from the hotel to the Rhur River, walk along the river, or join one of the walking, biking, or running paths for some exercise. One thing to know: the hotel doesn’t have air-conditioning, which matters during the occasional hot spell in this region.
