Moosbichl

A total waste of money. We had booked two double rooms, but the second one was basically a 1.5 room, not a double. We asked to switch and were given the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen. There were giant spider webs on the ceiling, mold all over the walls, blood stains on the sheets, and a tiny bathroom. The shower sink wasn’t draining, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for the water to go down before both of us could shower. The pillows were huge couch pillows, definitely not for sleeping, and left your neck wrecked after a few hours. The walls were so thin we could hear everything from outside and from other rooms. Worst of all, there was no heat. On September 3 it was raining and about 13 degrees Celsius outside, and the walls were wet, so the room was freezing. Reception said the heating wouldn’t be on until October. We’d booked through booking.com, where the place said it had heating. Staff told me to check the weather forecast and bring heavy clothes, but when you’ve paid 70 euros for a hotel, I don’t think you should have to sleep in skiing gear. They wouldn’t turn on the heat, our throats were wrecked after sleeping there, booking.com didn’t refund us, and the hotel refused to give our money back.

I came to Germany for private reasons and wasn’t sure how many days I’d need to stay. The owner, Mr Filix, was very understanding, helpful, and flexible about that. It’s a simple place, but the people are really good. My room was very clean and everything was organized. I recommend it.

I couldn’t stay in Munich as planned for various reasons, but I still wanted to leave a good review for Hotel Moosbichle. They made every effort to accommodate me and clearly care about making sure things go smoothly for their gusts. I’ve rarely had a business be so accommodating, and that alone makes me confident recommending them.

The room and hotel in general can speak for themselves in the pictures. The instructions said to enter a pin for the mailbox and collect the key, but there was no key inside. After I kept ringing and yelling, someone eventually came and handed it over in a grumpy mood.
