Residence Inn by Marriott Munich Central

Concierge Farrukh deserves a special mention. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made our stay more comfortable and stress-free. The cleaning service was excellent throughout, and we enjoyed the food too. Residence Inn by Marriott Munich Central is very conveniently located for getting around the city. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay again.

The rooms are spacious and have what you need. It's a studio apartment, so you can cook for yourself if you want. The breakfast was lovely each morning, even though it was the same every day. Once I got my bearings, the location turned out to be good, just one stop from the main train station. I also found a really great Christmas market a short walk away last night. There were a few frustrating moments. Nobody was at reception when I arrived, and another traveller and I waited over 5min for someone to come check us in. I left a €50 cash deposit because card repayments usually take a long time. The next morning, the same receptionist had a long explanation for why he couldn't return the cash, even though I'd explained my reason for paying in cash when I checked in. I found that annoying and unacceptable. When I asked where to get dinner, he mentioned an Italian restaurant beside the hotel but left out the whole mall behind it. I could've done more research myself, sure, but some guidance really helps when you're new to a city.

Mr Mohamed Ouir gave my family and me of 7 people the warmest, most sincere welcome. After travelling about 13 hours, we felt as if we'd found a second home right in the middle of Munich, Germany. As a Titanium elite member, I've had the warmest and most attentive hospitality I've ever experienced at a Marriott property here. That's saying something. Some other members of the property didn't show the same professionalism, though. Hopefully this review leads to some well earned training. The hotel is easy to get to, parking is ample, and prices are neither cheap nor exorbitant for Munich. The food options could be better, especially over our nine nights. Imagine having the exact same breakfast for 10 days. This was our second time back, and I believe it won't be the last. Cheers.

I've stayed at hundreds of Marriotts, and this was one of the best. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. At checkout, the man went out of his way to help us since we had a late train and needed somewhere to hang out for a bit.
