Hotel Bayerischer Hof

Fantastic, and very friendly.

The bar gets busy with evening guests, giving it a lively but cozy feel. Staff are motivated and always happy to chat, and the food is excellent. The burgers are delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast is nicely presented, with hot drinks made to order. The rooms are modern and seem to have been renovated recently. Dogs are welcome for the usual extra fee, which is nice. Highly recommended, and it'll be my go-to for future stays in Münnerstadt.

Free parking is available right in front of the building or nearby. If reliable Wi-Fi matters, I'd choose a room elsewhere in the hotel, and plan on a light breakfast. The tapas and cocktails are the highlights, though the cocktails are on the expensive side. Zum Bären has a lively, charming feel, with a convivial atmosphere inside and out. The service is friendly, and the hosts clearly care about what they do. Mercedes brings a special warmth and openness that made my visit memorable. The tapas are varied and delicious. They've changed a little since the kitchen staff changed, but they're still very good. I tried rooms 5 and 6. Both were clean and came with small extras like a capsule coffee machine and a bottle of water. Business travelers or guests with higher expectations might find the Wi-Fi weak, and there's no air conditioning or accessibility features. The courtyard can also get a little noisy. Breakfast is decent but limited to rolls, croissants, cold cuts, cheese, jam, butter, coffee, and orange juice. It's a charming hotel and restaurant with warm hospitality and great food. It's a good option for an overnight stay and an easy recommendation for Münnerstadt.
