The area was the real draw for us. The hotel sits in a quiet town, and with a car you can reach nearby hikes and wine areas in a short drive. There isn’t much to do at the hotel or close by without one. We stayed in the newer building rather than the castle itself. The room was on the small side, and there was no kettle. Breakfast and dinner were included and both were very good. The sauna was excellent. Shower pressure was a bit low, perhaps because our room was on the top floor. A lower floor might be better, though I can’t say for sure. The hotel itself is decent, and I’d recommend it. Hope you enjoy your stay.

The terrace was a nice spot for an evening drink, maybe a game of cards or rummy. Breakfast had plenty to choose from and was good, but dinner was the worst I’ve had so far, so I wouldn’t recommend the food. The room was okay and clean, and the hotel staff were friendly.

The restaurant had tasty food, with a choice of à la carte or buffet. The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished, and spotless. It’s a lovely country manor hotel, with great views across the countryside.
