Welcome Hotel Neckarsulm

The location worked really well for us, close to the train station, highway, and restaurants. We ate at the restaurant, which has a nice terrace, and the food was very good. Breakfast was also very good, with lots of choices. The problem was the air conditioning. We booked during a hot week because the hotel has airco, but it didn't work well and barely cooled the room.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel's location is convenient. I wasn't happy with my room, though. I paid extra for a superior room, but strong kitchen smells got into the room and even clung to my clothes, apparently because of a ventilation issue. That's extremely inconvenient on a business trip. I was on the ground floor, so I assume upper-floor rooms may be different.

The rooms starting with 1 are on the ground floor and may be near the route to the restaurant and bar, so expect noise late in the evening or early at night. Sleep wasn't great in my room either. The double bed I booked was two single beds pushed together, and they were rock hard. Music in the corridors adds to the nervous feel and seems to encourage more corridor noise. The hotel is clean and surprisingly well equipped. But even a basic request, like extending a stay, meant waiting while employees called to get it approved through the computer system.

Vanessa was so nice and helpful during our four nights at the Welcome Hotel with our family. She waited for us, explained everything in detail, and answered my questions with a smile. We have a little hotel at home, and we came back with lots of ideas from our stay. The rooms are big and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the bathtub was the best thing in the room! ☺️ Breakfast is amazing, too. We'll definitely come back. Thanks for everything!
