It was really quiet and very affordable, and the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Everything went smoothly, from the first phone call through to arrival. There's room for three cars in the courtyard, or you might be able to park in the village right in front of the guesthouse. I didn't try breakfast, so I can't say anything about it. No nearby restaurants were open, though I'm sure some are on weekends. The guesthouse is easy to reach from the highway, about five minutes away.

For a simple place to sleep, especially with the Erfurt trade fair just a five-minute drive away, I'd happily stay here again. It's a straightforward two-star guesthouse, very clean and friendly, with some lovely little touches. Breakfast could be better, though I can understand the cost issue when there are only three guests in a small place. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

The cleanliness is second to none, and there's parking in the courtyard. This family-run guesthouse has the landlady personally looking after guests, and breakfast is well worth recommending. Based in Apfelstädt (where else?), it's a handy starting point for cultural trips to Weimar, Erfurt, Jena, Coburg, Gotha and Eisenach.

The rooms were comfortable and very clean. It's a small but lovely guesthouse, and they were happy to handle breakfast requests, like scrambled eggs with chives.

The rooms don't have everything, but that hardly matters with such a friendly landlady. You can tell right away that a truly wonderful person works here. I'd happily return anytime.
