Rheingoldhof

The staff are friendly and ready to help, and the hotel is clean and well kept. Rooms have nice furnishings. Breakfast was adequate, but there wasn’t much of it, and during busy periods the cold cuts often ran out.

Breakfast is the highlight, with a generous buffet that’s really tasty. The hotel itself is older but cozy, and the simple rooms are clean. The shower sits right in the room’s hallway, which is awkward, and a curtain would help. It’s also noisy throughout, and Wi-Fi only works on one device, which isn’t enough. The price is on the high side for what you get, though still acceptable.

Three stars on Google Maps means “Everything’s okay,” and that sums it up. The room layout is awkward, with the bathroom right where you enter, which is a nuisance in winter or rain when your shoes are wet. The walls are very thin, and there’s no desk. Breakfast is quite limited, though the moderate room price makes that just about reasonable. Wi-Fi is available, but at first it’s restricted to one device, which just doesn’t work for business travelers.

The room was nice, and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom was small, with a tiny shower. Breakfast was perfectly fine, and the price felt fair for what was offered.
