I checked out after breakfast wasn't served one day, and I just didn't feel comfortable staying there. The room was unbelievably dirty, with spider webs everywhere, dust, and dead mosquitoes smeared on the walls. I can't tell what was worse, the people who swatted them and left them there or the owner not cleaning it off. The place has potential, which makes it such a pity.

Breakfast was the worst part of my week at the Baringer Hof, from July 14th to 21st, 2025. It's served in an adjoining dining room, but the sneeze guard wasn't being used, and flies had to be shooed away. I ended up with just coffee and orange juice, when they were available. The owner only refilled them if asked, often while holding a cigarette. He also smoked constantly and didn't seem aware of the restaurant smoking ban. Tables were only cleared after all the other guests had finished, which was unappetizing if you were in the second seating. The Baringer Hof has clearly seen better days. The rooms are generally large and the mattresses very good, but the beds are far too heavy and warm. The TV usually only got one channel, there was no refrigerator, and the bathroom didn't even have a toothbrush mug. The visible surfaces were wiped clean, but there was dust and dirt under the bed and toilet from many other guests.

Our family stayed in a four-bed room that was clean and well furnished. The guesthouse is very nice and friendly, with breakfast and parking available. Service was easy and friendly.
