Nurdachhaus Marie Im Nordschwarzwald

A well-designed tiny house with thoughtful furnishings. It’s a lovely place to visit with kids, and I’d highly recommend it for a family holiday.

We spent three nights here and loved every day, even with the storm and heavy rain. The beds in the bedrooms were the highlight, incredibly comfortable. With the exposed roof beams seeming just an arm’s length above us, it felt like sleeping in a tent, while still having heat and a soft mattress. The sound of the wind and rain made it extra cozy. The house has a clean bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a sofa bed facing the TV that’s great for a binge-watch. There’s also a big garden with tables, a grill and a shed, plus private parking right across the street. It’s peaceful at the forest edge, and shops in the next town are only a few minutes away by car. Pforzheim, the nearest larger city, has plenty to do. We didn’t meet the builders or managers because check-in was contactless, but it was clear they care about guests’ comfort. We’d definitely return and recommend the place.

The hosts were so welcoming, and the house had been newly renovated with everything working as it should. A lovely place in the Black Forest for a family trip.
