The host was really helpful and speaks excellent English, and the Wi-Fi was good. We stayed in a clean, modern room on a quiet street. There’s a bakery and coffee place nearby, plus a small Middle Eastern restaurant. Neulussheim made a handy base for Heidelberg, Hockenheim, Manheim and Speyer, which has a small aviation museum. The Christmas markets nearby are wonderful and well worth seeing. It’s just a short drive from Heidelberg.

There’s plenty of parking, and the location is quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean, and breakfast was adequate. On Sunday I’d have liked a little more variety.

The staff were rude and unfriendly, and I wouldn’t spend €20 to stay here. The hotel is completely overpriced for its facilities and service. The bed linen was dirty, and checking under the mattresses confirmed it for us. The bathrooms were in such bad shape I don’t even want to get into it. Even a youth hostel is better equipped these days. We’d never stay here again.

The host was efficient and very polite. Breakfast has the basics you need to start the day, though it could be better. The hotel has the necessary amenities for a short stay, and it’s adequate for a brief visit, even if it’s not among the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Wi-Fi coverage is poor in the rooms at the back, and it doesn’t reach every part of the building.
