Pension Schwaiger

Pension Schwaiger gave us a warm welcome, and we were very happy with our weekend there. Our booking request got a quick email reply, and the price was excellent for what we got. There aren't many guesthouses left that still offer breakfast and such a friendly reception. Thank you!

It was easy to walk to the thermal baths through a lovely park, or head to the restaurants. The guesthouse is in a quiet area, and we could store our bicycles there. They also gave us excursion tips, and we even had a massage at the guesthouse. Our room had a balcony where we enjoyed spending time. It was clean and well maintained, and the guesthouse itself is family run, very friendly, and lovingly furnished. In the breakfast room there’s a refrigerator for drinks and a sign-up sheet, plus another fridge where you can keep food for dinner if you want a quiet meal in. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and excellent value for money. Thank you!

The location was excellent, and the accommodation was clean. The host gave us a very friendly welcome, and it worked well for a long weekend. The breakfast was very limited, though, with no fruit or vegetables and no milk for cereal. I also found it noisy. I don't need to be woken at 6 a.m. when the hostess arrives, and the breakfast room was so loud, with the hostess talking across the room to other guests, that I could barely hear myself think. That really bothered me.

It was clean, and the beds were okay, but the house was noisy and everything felt very dated and basic. Breakfast was mediocre, with no fruit, no freshly cooked eggs, and not much appeal. The price didn't feel justified, even for a basic place to stay.
