The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean, and picking up my keys from the safe after arriving Monday evening was easy. But I wouldn't stay in room 22 again. A dog barked outside for about half an hour, then kept barking during the night and woke me at least three times. I know that may not be the hotel's fault, but I can't recommend that room if you need a good night's sleep before work. In the shower, the water kept going either very hot or cold when someone elsewhere flushed a toilet, used cold water, or showered and lowered the pressure. The owner could probably sort that out. I'd been asked on a flyer to give both positive and negative feedback, so that's what I'm doing.

The room had a nice recent renovation, and the self-catering setup was good. But there was no Burgblick at Burgblick: we were in a residential area looking out over a school, with no view towards the burg. I had a frustrating arrival too. The accommodation sent a ton of emails, all in German, and the key wasn't where they'd said it would be. There was no reception, though fortunately cleaning staff were nearby. I'd included our dog in the reservation and the hotel had already charged my card. Then, that evening, the owner stopped my girlfriend in the parking lot to ask for extra money for the dog. There was no friendly check-in or question about the room, just a request to leave money in the postbox. Not a nice way to handle it.

The apartment was comfortable and very clean, and the location was great. The service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Booking was contactless and everything went smoothly, with friendly conversations over the phone. The room was quiet and clean, with cooking facilities, and the price was very good for what you get. I'll come back when I'm visiting friends nearby.

I found a clean, affordable room with easy communication, just right for a spontaneous weekend away. The town is worth a visit, and the nearby lake is fantastic in summer. I'll be back! :-) Highly recommended.
