Tektona "Bed & Breakfast"

The owner didn't leave us out in the rain. She lent us warm jackets and gave us shelter until we could get back on our way, and we had a lovely chat too. We'd stopped for homemade coffee and cake during a bike ride, and a proper storm came in while we were resting. A farm café run with that much love deserves more than five stars.

I felt completely at home, and breakfast was the most relaxing I've had in ages. Mine came with delicious scrambled eggs, and everything I could want was there, plus a little more. The lovely lady rents out a beautiful apartment with superbly furnished rooms and cold drinks in the fridge. It's the only one available, so book quickly. In the morning there's an exceptionally good breakfast waiting. A solid five stars. I'll be back.

We arrived soaked at the end of our two-week motorcycle tour, and at first we were dismayed that we couldn't turn on the heating with all our clothes wet. But Irmi looked after us so warmly that it stopped mattering. We'd booked a “room,” expecting a basic guesthouse with several rooms and a normal guest setup. Instead, it was a stylish, lovingly furnished apartment without a kitchen, and we felt at home right away. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was fantastic. Alongside the farm café, Irmi runs a little farm shop with unusual, lovely things. If you prefer a personal, family-run feel to the usual guesthouse experience, this is a great fit. There's not much to do in the surrounding area, though. Thanks, Irmi, for the great conversations and the perfect end to a wonderful holiday. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and the hostess is super friendly. A lovely holiday apartment, perfect for a break in the beautiful Vogelsberg region. We'll be back! 👍
