There were five of us eating out. The Kölsch was delicious, and the salad was good too. The fries were average, while the schnitzel was paper-thin. The pepper sauce tasted very good, but the sauerbraten was too sweet and the red cabbage was inedible.
We tried the burger and rump steak, and both were delicious. Prices felt really fair, although the first menu is a little small. The restaurant only reopened a few days ago under new ownership, and we had a fantastic first impression. The owners and staff were very friendly, and we felt welcome right away. Service was attentive and efficient. They serve traditional German food, with soups, salads, schnitzel, burgers, steaks, fish, and different desserts. Sky and DAZN live football is shown too. It's a great concept for this location, and I wish the new owners all the best!
The restaurant and bar are a great addition to the hotel. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. I really enjoyed it. They've also opened a VIP lounge, a place to relax without being disturbed. Keep it up!
