We slept like logs in a quiet, comfortable room, with a balcony facing the garden. This is a lovely little town in the rolling hills, and the hotel had a relaxed feel. A local man pointed us here, thanks to the kind cyclist in Wehr! My Italian husband especially admired the marble stairs and beautiful tilework. Breakfast was a treat: fresh bread, fruit, garden walnuts, yogurt, cheese, cereal, and lots of homemade jams, plus juice and cappuccino. I particularly enjoyed the liverwurst and fresh butter. I'd gladly stay again.

The owner-manager was so thoughtful and kind, and the location is amazing. I’ve never felt this good in a hotel. It’s underpriced, honestly. Just perfect, I’d give it 10 out of 5.

The breakfast buffet was far better than we expected, and we got to try homemade jams we’d never heard of, including dandelion and lilac. They were delicious. Mrs. Olepp, the owner, also made time for a lovely chat and shared recipe ideas, which we appreciated. We were only passing through for one night, but the beautiful room, great bathroom, balcony, and fantastic view made it a lovely surprise. We slept wonderfully and would happily come back anytime.
