Breakfast was excellent, especially the eggs made to order, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily with fresh towels. We got a welcome message, and our four-legged son had his own bowl, towel, and a meal once, which was a lovely touch. This is a very dog-friendly hotel in a natural setting. One issue: despite my booking clearly saying junior suite, I was given a standard room. The pillows weren't comfortable, and road traffic was noisy in our room. I'd recommend it for families, nature lovers, and people travelling with dogs who want a personal, welcoming stay.

We had a wonderful time, and the service was great. It was very child-friendly, with a lovely room and extra bed, a playroom, pool access for children, and a children's menu. The location was also great, close to walking paths and Steinwasenpark. Highly recommend!

The spa is worth a visit, with plenty of facilities open from early morning until evening. Meals from breakfast through dinner were good, and the staff were very polite. We also liked the pool and billiard table. The setting is ideal for hiking or snow activities, with trails right outside the hotel. Rooms are generally nice, quiet, with good beds and pretty views, though they aren't large. Even suites are around 25m2.

The staff made this four-night stay especially good. Reception was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant and bar team were attentive and kind, including with our two-year-old daughter. We stayed half board: the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, and dinner offered tasty local dishes with several courses to choose from. Our family room was very clean and well equipped, with a recently renovated bathroom. We really enjoyed the clean, modernized pool and wellness area. It's well placed for walking and skiing, with one piste and elevator across from the hotel and Feldberg a 20-minute drive away. Good value for money.

We visited in April and found lots of walking paths, though be sure to check the weather before heading there. We encountered some snow. The restaurant was very good in my opinion, everything I chose tasted good, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms might feel small if you're travelling with kids. The bathroom is a little vintage, but it was clean, comfortable, and worked perfectly. I prefer a shower to a bathtub, though that's personal preference. I'm not sure how well the place fits your expectations in winter, but I'd definitely recommend it and come back. Great location.
