Havenhostel Stade - Hotel

I keep coming back because the staff are friendly and always willing to help, and the rooms are clean. The buffet breakfast could do with more options, though. Getting to the main station takes about 15 minutes, so a taxi is the easier choice. Reception can arrange one, and they can also lend you an iron if you ask.

We stayed here while heading to Sweden. The guys on staff were especially helpful and relaxed, while the ladies were courteous but felt more formal and less laid-back.

The old town is an easy walk away, with loads of places to eat. My top-floor studio was huge, and the hotel itself felt modern, clean and great value. Breakfast cost extra, but the buffet had such a good selection that it was well worth it. Parking is free, either outside or underneath the building. I'd book again without hesitation.

Our family room was roomy, and the baby bed was already set up when we arrived. The hotel was clean and breakfast was decent. The one small drawback: our room was above the smoking area, so opening the window meant dealing with the smell.
