Hotel & Restaurant Neptun

My young daughter and I just wanted a bite to eat, and the restaurant was quite empty. The waiter seemed unfriendly right away, though at first it wasn’t bad enough to make us leave. We each picked a soup or a children’s meal and a drink, but he rudely turned down the order, saying, “We don't do that here!” We were stunned. My daughter started crying and couldn’t understand why she wasn’t getting food. Honestly, neither could we.

The restaurant’s food is good, but the prices don’t match the poor service and lack of hospitality. I went to Neptun around 5:30 p.m., shortly after it opened, and asked if I could sit outside. They said I could pick any table. The only table for two was in a dark corner, so I chose a nicely placed table for four. A little later, the tall waiter came over and told the waitress, right in front of me, to refuse me a table simply because I was alone. It was condescending and rude, unlike anything I’ve experienced in a restaurant. Only couples were there until I left, and the table I picked stayed empty. I can’t recommend a place that treats people dining alone with such disdain. I won’t return, and I’d tell others to avoid it.

We ate at the restaurant and really enjoyed it. The fish was especially juicy, and the fried potatoes were excellent. There was a tasty, generous salad bar too, with good value for money, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. Keep it up!

The schnitzel was the best I’ve ever had, with homemade peppercorn sauce, pink peppercorns, and chili threads. The fish was delicious as well, crisp on the outside and juicy. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and was happy to handle personal requests. Worth every penny. Thanks for a fantastic meal!
