Fährhuus an´t Deep

The standout for me was how incredibly peaceful the location is, and I’d still return for that. The apartment works for two, with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen made cooking for ourselves difficult: there’s no separate oven, just a microwave-oven combination with no instructions, and the pans had no lids and damaged coating. The furniture was otherwise okay. Sadly, the punt was closed.

We had a short weekend in Apartment 9 and were delighted. The friendly welcome at hotel check-in was a great start. Even after checking out, we were allowed to shower in the sauna because we were still out cycling. We’d love to come back!

Apartment No. 6 was especially cozy and roomy, with all the amenities you could want. The complex itself is very idyllic and suits a quiet, relaxing holiday. The grounds could use a bit of upkeep, though it’s only a small drawback.

Greetsiel and Norden are lovely to discover by bike, and there are bicycles, boats, and sauna use included in the price. The bikes seemed well-kept. We had apartment number 10, which was charmingly furnished and well equipped. There’s also a nice playground, a lawn with loungers and beach chairs, and a ping-pong table with paddles and balls provided. The complex is quiet and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and easy to deal with. Wi-Fi is enough for browsing, but too slow for streaming movies or downloading big files. I highly recommend the place.
