The beer they make under their own brand was good, but the meal was disappointing. The schnitzel seemed clearly frozen and had just been pan-fried, and it wasn't good at all. Service was another problem: there was only one staff member, so we waited a long time to order, and they were unfriendly and impolite. It was also rather expensive for what it was, making the whole experience very poor.

We’ve been back about a dozen times, and the buffet breakfast is why we keep returning. There’s an impressive range of drinks, with specialty coffees and teas all included. You can get cappuccino, latte macchiato and espresso, as well as teas like Ceylon, Darjeeling first flush, Rooibos, Japanese Green Tea, and ginger and spice teas. The food selection is just as extensive: fresh fruit and juice squeezed from oranges on the machine, homemade jams and jellies, honey straight from the comb, cereals and muesli, yogurt, waffles, dried fruit and nuts. There are eggs cooked different ways, bacon, ham, lots of breads and fresh buns, premium cheeses, sliced meats, smoked salmon and herring salad. Quark, cream, milk and fresh butter from a special dispenser are there too. I’ve had breakfasts at many five-star hotels, and plenty don’t come close to this one.

The beer was great, and there was plenty of food on the plate. Still, the fish dish I had at the pub was bland and boring. This review is about the pub, not the main restaurant. The brewery was closed on Monday, and on a weekday work trip I didn’t want to spend €20+ on dinner. Turns out I was being a stupid cheapskate.
