We've stayed here several years in a row because the apartment is otherwise lovely, and its location is excellent, just 5 minutes from the town center and 50 meters from the supermarket. But we've finally given up because of the terrace. We spent a lot of time on the small terrace, and it gets worse every year. We could put up with the weeds in the little roadside flowerbeds. The small table seems to have replaced a broken original, and we had to carry it out from the apartment and prop it up with 3 cm of cardboard to stop things sliding off. But the paving stones by the terrace door have sunk about 30 cm in the last three years, with a doormat laid over the hole. I twisted my ankle straight away and stood in the hole up to my ankle. Luckily I wasn't hurt. I don't want to think about what could happen to an older person.

We were four adults in Alte Schmiede, Apartment 14, 3rd floor. The sofa bed was comfortable, and we found everything we needed in the rental, including cooking utensils. The apartment is modern, bright, very clean, and centrally located. An extra comfortable seat alongside the sofa and armchair would have been nice for four adults, but that's a small thing, and in such lovely weather we probably wouldn't have noticed anyway.

We had a week here and were very happy with the apartment. It was bright, fantastic, central and quiet. The mattresses were the one real problem for me: they were so hard and unyielding that I woke up in pain every morning. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be very comfortable here. With different mattresses, we'd come back every year.

The balconies face the wall of the neighboring house, and there's no pleasant view. The hallway is dark, the bike rack is small, and the apartments have poor sound insulation.
