Haus am Tarpenufer

We were three people staying for a week on a work assignment and mainly needed somewhere to sleep. The apartment is very centrally located, though the main street gets heavily congested in the mornings. It was adequate for sleeping and self-catering, with bed linen, towels, and kitchen equipment provided. The website photos were unclear about which apartment you'd get. They show newly renovated units, but that must have been some time ago. The dishwasher and toaster are very old, the shower head sprays water everywhere, the kitchen cabinetry fell off, and the utensils weren't clean.

The house is noisy, with poorly soundproofed room doors. There's a lot of activity from workmen from 5-6 am, although it gets quiet from 10 pm to 11 pm. The location is okay, with local amenities nearby. Rooms are simple and clean, with a TV, wardrobe, and table; the bathroom is clean too. There's a small kitchen and even free, good coffee. A separate toilet from the bathroom would be helpful, since people sometimes have to wait.

The soups and casserole were very good, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. I had trouble scanning the QR code, but the staff sorted it out on their phones. Thank you.

Shopping is just three minutes away, which makes the location great. The apartment is clean, but the kitchen equipment could use attention, with scratched pans and so on.
