By Hamburg standards, it’s cheap. I was especially surprised that parking was free and the rooms stayed quiet, even on the road side. One of the better hotels we stayed at during our 40-day European vacation.

We were told there’d be fruit at check-in, but there was none. When we said we’d requested an upstairs room, the receptionist was rude, then went out of his way to put us in a smoking room facing a noisy street.

It’s a quiet, lovely area, and there’s a nature reserve nearby for hiking or cycling. The interior is nice, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is good.

It’s an okay place to stay. The breakfast is nice, especially thanks to the man who serves the food, who was great.
