Karstens Gasthof

HSV

The rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished, and there was plenty of space to store and charge our bikes. We also appreciated the drinks on the honor system. Breakfast was plentiful and fantastic. The owner welcomed us warmly even though it was his day off, and he was very friendly. A great guesthouse, highly recommended! 👍👍👍

There's a small, pleasant garden where you can sit, and the hotel has a nautical look. But the decor is dated, and the place feels worn and old-fashioned. The room size and cleanliness were okay, and the shower and toilet were fine. The main road between Heide and Rendsburg runs past the hotel, so rooms facing it are noisy. Breakfast is the only meal served, though what they offer is perfectly adequate. The owner's rudeness was a real drawback. I've never experienced anything like it.

We come back to Karsten's Gasthof every year. The hosts are so friendly, the rooms are great, and everything, including the kitchen and shower, is very clean. Arriving late is fine, too. Breakfast is fantastic and has everything you could want, so don't miss it. They’re also happy to cater to what the younger guests want.
