The apartment was clean, and the living room is spacious with acceptable furnishings and a kitchenette. Still, the layout and several practical details made our two-night stay only acceptable for us as two older couples. It could suit two young people or a family with younger children, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer in our situation. There’s only one proper bedroom, and it’s very small and almost windowless. Its window is to the left of the door, at the same height as the main entrance. A locked door beside it separates the room from the landlord’s garage. There’s almost no storage, apart from a wardrobe for hanging clothes. The second “bedroom” is a windowless passage you have to cross to reach the living room and, at its far end, the bathroom with the only toilet. The bed in that passage is so narrow that it could fit two small children or one adult, with only a small bedside table for storage. If four adults stay, one person has to sleep on the sofa against the wall outside the bathroom. The bathroom has a window, but its glass door faces the living room. At night, anyone in the bedroom going to the toilet is likely to wake those sleeping in the passage and living room. There’s no nightlight, either. The living room carpets are creased and wrinkled, making them a tripping risk for elderly people and anyone with mobility issues. There’s also a raised threshold outside the bathroom that adds to the fall risk. The kitchen fridge was only partly usable because it held many of the landlord’s bottles, essentially making it a minibar. The listing also says there’s a second toilet, but there isn’t one. Parking on the landlord’s property is possible, though awkward because the driveway is narrow and cars have to line up one behind another. You might scratch your car on the decorations as you leave. We parked on the street, which is badly in need of repair, but that caused us no problem. The apartment’s close to the city center and nearby shops, which is a real advantage.
