Hotel Garni Kiefer

Lovely place to stay. The service and staff are excellent. The rooms could perhaps use some improvement, and it’d be better to have proper body wash instead of the little packets.

For €69 a night including breakfast, the value was excellent, especially given that the hotel isn't very far from Stuttgart. I booked it quite spontaneously on Monday morning for that same day, after leaving the search for somewhere in the area until late. The low rate did make me a little nervous when the confirmation came through, but those worries turned out to be unfounded. It’s a clean, well-kept hotel, and parking right outside is plentiful for the number of rooms. I can see it being a great fit for tradespeople and construction workers. I’d recommend it depending on what you need, even though it wasn’t quite right for me, which is why it still gets five stars. I arrived to find a note on the door explaining that the room keys were in the outside safe. Check-in by phone was smooth: they gave me the code, and the safe had the information about my room. The room was clean, but the TV screen was small and its sound reminded me of an old radio. I slept more quietly than I expected, despite the main road being fairly close. The windows and the building itself kept most of the noise out. It was an overnight sales trip, and the hotel made a very well-maintained impression. In terms of comfort, service, and modern amenities, though, I need a bit more to start the day feeling refreshed. The hotel is showing its age, but it’s well cared for. Room technology and the safe, the shower, lighting and hairdryer, and breakfast were all basic. Breakfast had a bit of everything, and it was fine, just simpler and less varied than what I’m used to at hotels. The one thing that did bother me was the lack of a proper sheltered smoking spot. It was raining, and the choice was to stand close to the building under just a few centimeters of roof cover or get a little wet.

My single room was lovely, clean, and nicely furnished, and I had a great stay. The hotel is quiet and run by a very friendly family. The service was excellent, and there was even time for a pleasant chat. Keep it up, and you’ll do well. I was completely satisfied and it was wonderful staying with you! 👏😀♥️

My brother has stayed at the Hotel am Neckar twice this year. The owners are very friendly and pay attention to their guests' comfort. They try to meet special requests when they can, and they appreciate suggestions. I’m sure when he leaves tomorrow, he’ll say, “See you next time!”
