Adina Apartment Hotel Nuremberg

We came for the Christmas market and were glad the street stayed quiet, even though the old town and its market were within walking distance. The train station was easy to reach on foot too. Our clean, fairly roomy apartment had cooking facilities, which came in handy on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as a washer and dryer. Edeka is less than a minute away. We'd stay here again if we come back to Nuremberg.

We got around Nuremberg easily by train and on foot, even with a stroller, and probably could have skipped the rental car. Parking access was less smooth: you need the room number and the exact reservation name. When we called for help with our multiple rooms, the front desk hung up on my husband over a name or room mismatch. I understand the security rule, but clearer communication would've helped. The appliances were handy once we learned how to use them. Ask at check-in for the washer-dryer cheat sheet. The microwave and stovetop were useful too. Bedding needs a bit of planning: list every guest when booking, since extra bedding for the comfortable pull-out sofa costs about $35 a night. With four guests, only two blankets were provided unless we paid extra. Cribs were also available for a nightly fee. Kids eat breakfast free, while adults pay, and booking it ahead is cheaper. We had a pleasant stay once we'd figured things out, despite some concerns we'd seen in other reviews.

The rooms were clean and looked like the photos, with useful appliances including a washer, oven, and induction cooktop. I didn't get to try the pool, but it seemed impressive for a hotel this size, and there was some basic gym equipment too. Breakfast was tasty, especially the bread, though the selection was modest and the same each day. Getting around was easy: it's a five-minute walk from the U-Bahn stop, just one stop from Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof. There are escalators or a lift throughout, major sights are close, and there's a supermarket across the road.

Housekeeping was the biggest problem for us. There was no daily room cleaning, rubbish removal, or towel change, so after long days at the fair we came back to an overflowing bin. At checkout, we were told full cleaning happens only every third day, something that hadn't been made clear when booking. For a business trip, I didn't expect to manage the cleaning and waste myself. Several room basics also fell short. A lamp was broken and the bathroom thermostat didn't work properly, leaving the water lukewarm. Those might be minor issues alone, but they don't fit the price. We stayed at Adina Apartment Hotel Nuremberg in January 2026 for a trade fair. I know Nuremberg rates rise during fairs, but at this level I expected reliable service and a sense of safety. Breakfast was repetitive and disappointing, mostly industrial, pre-made sausages and eggs. It was expensive for what it offered, and better options were easy to find elsewhere, even at gas stations. As a small example of the service, staff couldn't provide a toothpick, which seemed unprofessional for a hotel with a restaurant. There was also nowhere suitable to work, no proper desk in the lobby, and no coffee before 7:00 a.m. Safety raised concerns too. Corridor doors were propped open with wedges, which seems problematic for fire safety, and the elevators didn't appear to have current safety inspections. In the evenings, the area felt unsafe. A large political demonstration, mainly involving Kurdish demonstrators, took place directly outside during our stay, with a heavy police presence and a clear sense of unrest. I think guests should be told about conditions like that in advance, especially when the hotel is promoted as comfortable and professional. To me, the hotel seems to cut costs on service, cleaning, and safety without pricing accordingly. I don't think it offers value for money, and wouldn't recommend it to business travelers looking for safety, reliability, and a professional standard.
