Hotel Kennedy

The noise made it impossible to sleep, even though we got in very late and only needed a couple of hours' rest. There were screams, fights and someone kicking doors. We paid €90 for one night, an outrageous price for a place like this. The room was dirty and smelled terrible throughout. The bathroom door was directly opposite the bed, right in front of you, which felt incredibly uncomfortable and unhygienic. The sheets were worn, pilled and looked dirty; the bathroom door had greasy fingerprints and was revolting to touch. I woke up itching all over and couldn't shake the feeling that something had bitten me. We booked at the last minute because my boyfriend hadn't noticed the terrible reviews and we urgently needed somewhere to stay. If you can stay somewhere else, please do. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and without exaggeration the most horrible hotel experience of my life.

We booked through Booking.com by accident and soon realized the hotel wasn't right for us. When we politely asked the owner whether a partial refund might be possible, he said he'd only return any money if we gave him a 5-star review, in exchange for 20% back. That's unacceptable and highly unethical. Reviews should reflect real experiences, not be bought. Travelers deserve transparency and integrity, and sadly we didn't find that here.

I got there at 00:15, but reception was closed. The number on the note only got answered after I called three times. When I asked if I could rent a room for the night, the man firmly said no, even after I told him I was standing right outside reception, then hung up. Not professional at all. If you need a quick place for the night, this isn't it!

The sheets didn't look fresh, the room smelled of old cigarettes, and there was mold in the shower corners. For the price, I expected at least basic cleanliness. Arriving late at night, I found the check-in was a mess and nobody at the desk, so I had to wait 30 minutes. I wouldn't stay here again.
