TIPTOP Burghotel Stammhaus

The location was the only good thing about this hotel. Everything else was bad. My room was tiny, the sink was inside the room, the TV didn't work, and there was a problem with the water heater. The lampshades were broken, the bathtub was poor, and the bed was wobbly, noisy and completely uncomfortable. It didn't feel secure when getting in or out, and the pillow had been so flattened from use that I could barely feel it. Breakfast wasn't good either. It was only jam-packed, so I canceled it, but the breakfast charge still hasn't been refunded. There wasn't even an umbrella available when it rained. My room, 305, was in the private part of the hotel with no elevator, so I had to carry all my bags up three floors.

The location is perfect, near the castle and within walking distance of the whole city center. The room had everything I needed, and the service was okay. If you like a late breakfast, though, I'd skip it. By 9:20, the bacon and other savory items were already gone.

It's very close to the City Center, clean, and has a good breakfast. There's an elevator, but parking is limited, though you can look for spaces on the streets. The balcony is closed in winter, and there's no smoking area.

The staff were kind, the service was good, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast had a great spread for a reasonable price. The location is very central to nuremberg, while still feeling private.
