Landhaus Plendl

The country setting and the inviting, elegant feel of the house made it a special place for our wedding. We got married last May, and the two women who run the hotel and restaurant clearly put their hearts into it. The planning was spot on, from guests arriving the day before and checking into the rooms we’d reserved, to the schedule for the reception, cake, and dinner. What we’d agreed on was carried out as planned, and working with the other partners went smoothly too. We loved the fresh, seasonal food and drinks, including the homemade punch. Our guests were delighted, and we felt completely at ease. It was our dream wedding, and an unforgettable day. Many thanks to the mother and daughter! ♥️

We wanted a small wedding that we could afford, and Landhaus Plendl turned out to be just right. Friends had recommended it when we started looking about a year earlier. The day itself was fantastic, with perfect weather and plenty of time to enjoy the garden or the indoor spaces. Ms. Stegschuster and her team had prepared a cocktail bar that was a real hit, and the service was attentive. With 40 people, a short wait for a drink now and then seemed entirely understandable to us. The menu worked for everyone. We’re vegetarian, but wanted meat options for our guests, and Ms. Stegschuster’s suggestion was a success. She made the two of us a three-course meal with three choices for the main course. The vegetarians had Mediterranean dumplings with Parmesan on tomato sauce, there were special meals for guests with allergies and for vegans, and meat eaters could choose between two veal dishes. Everyone was happy. Planning was straightforward, with all our communication with Ms. Stegschuster handled by email. She found ways to accommodate our requests or suggested alternatives, and made clear what her team would handle and what we needed to arrange ourselves. The venue was exactly what we wanted for our special day. 100% recommendation!!!

The food was good, and the place itself is beautiful. My sister’s wedding there last fall was let down by the service, though. Staff rarely came around to top up glasses, and I found the owners unhelpful at times. Plans that seemed possible suddenly couldn’t be arranged, and I had to set up the slideshow screen myself. Even the outdoor ceremony became a disagreement, including where the ceremony would take place. Friendliness and service both have plenty of room to improve. Such a shame.

Having rooms on site was a big plus, especially for our guests with children, who could stay and celebrate with us late into the night. We got married here two weeks ago, and everything went perfectly, beyond what we’d hoped for. The country house is beautiful, romantic, and lovingly kept and decorated, in a quiet spot away from noise and strangers. Our guests were delighted. The food was delicious, the service excellent, and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding :)
